Structural Engineer
Reporting Structure: SE reports to Discipline Leader of Structural Engineering (DLSE)
Responsibilities:
- Design steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and cold-formed steel systems.
- Prepare construction documents (AutoCAD required, Revit preferred).
- Learn and apply cold-formed steel framing design.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications.
- Conduct occasional job site visits (travel as needed).
- Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate designs.
Education: BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural, Masters Degree preferred
License: EIT certification is required; PE is a plus
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of structural design experience required, cold-formed steel design experience is preferred
Work location: Office, Herndon Virginia (On-site; no relocation allowance).
