Warrenton Behavioral Health Facility
June 1, 2023
SWSG provided architectural and MEP services for converting a 7,736 SF two-story office building to a behavioral health facility by demolition and reconstruction of the entire building interior while keeping the shell of the existing building. Services included drawings and specifications for bidding and permit, permit application, construction budget estimates, shop drawing reviews and construction observations with a final punch list.
Initially, SWSG provided architectural-engineering services to develop programming and special space needs study for a new health facility at three potential locations. The county decided to select an existing building yet keep the same design requirements. The new layout was designed in an innovative way to provide day lighting for all the spaces inside the building and utilize energy efficient design elements, keeping in mind the privacy, comfort, and security of the users of this facility.
